ARTS COUNCIL OFFERS FREE SUMMER WORKSHOPS
The Arts Council of Mississippi County in the historic Ritz Civic Center announces it will offer a photography workshop open to the public. The Photography Workshop for Beginners will be offered July 9-12, 2018, and is open to anyone age 8 and over, including adults. The Workshop is free and advance registration is required. |
There is no cost to participate, however participants will need to provide their own digital camera with removable memory disc. The participants will meet daily from 9:00-10:30 AM. Registration is required on or before July 2nd. Students will meet at various locations such as parks and historic downtown Blytheville to provide a variety of subject matter for the photos. Students will be provided helpful hints through printed handouts and have daily discussions on various aspects of photography. Much of the time will be spent shooting photos. The workshop instructor is David Lyttle, the Executive Director of The Arts Council of Mississippi County. He has been involved in photography workshops for youngsters for the past eleven summers.
An exhibit of selected photographs by each student in the Photography Workshop will be featured in The Ritz Gallery for the month of August. Participants will be honored as Featured Artists at a Gallery Reception. Registration forms and additional information are available at The Ritz.
