The Arts Council of Mississippi County is pleased to announce the Gallery Artist for January of 2019. Mrs. Angela F.M. Trotter of Blytheville is an award winning illustrator and artist who has shown throughout the Southeastern United States and has been featured in “American Artist.” Most of her work is in private collections throughout America. The Ritz Gallery is located at 306 W. Main Street in Historic Downtown Blytheville.

The Gallery Exhibit will feature the original illustration panels by Mrs. Trotter and the display will be available for viewing from January 8-31, 2019.

In 2018 Mrs. Trotter created the illustrations for “All Is Assuredly Well.” With gorgeous, pre-Raphaelite illustrations, this book will hold a unique place in the canon of picture books for the children of same-sex parents, enchanting parents as much as it will their children.

Dr. Gore, an award winning teacher and author of five books for teachers and parents, is the primary author of “All Is Assuredly Well” and she worked in collaboration with Maestro Wilson, a composer, arranger, music teacher, performer and public school band director on this work. The story is written in lyrical prose and structured by a meta-myth as King Phillip follows his quest to have a baby daughter to complete his family. It is destined to become a children’s literary classic. It has been named one of the seven Best Indie Children’s Picture Books of 2018, has been featured by Literary Pics Student Book Reviews, and featured by The Children’s Book Review.
